Fiducia enhance underwriting capabilities with three new appointments
Specialty MGA Fiducia underwriting have recently made three new appointments as it continues to build its capabilities to drive its ambitions for profitable growth.
The Leeds- based underwriter has hired Tom Durant, Jaymar Arante and Heather Neil, to create a new team which will provide underwriting support across all areas of the business.
Tom joins Fiducia from UK General where he worked as an Oversight Manager analysing claims, ratings and commissions. Jaymar joins the company from Dubai where he had worked as an Insurance Underwriting Administrator for 5 years before coming to the UK. Heather began working in sales at Cigna Insurance in her native New Zealand but had an ambition to move into underwriting and came to the UK earlier this year to pursue that aim.
The team has been created to support the underwriting operations across all classes of business and will be part of the processes around the development of products and wordings as Fiducia continues to expand its capacity and its product areas in response to ongoing demand from its broker partners.
“We are delighted to welcome Tom, Jaymar and Heather to Fiducia,” said company CEO Gerry Sheehy. “The creation of the roles is a testament to success we have had in the past three years. We have built the business on the quality of the capacity, the cover we are able to offer and our determination to work with brokers to find real solutions to their clients’ risk challenges.
“The new support team will enable us to further enhance our market leading service levels which have been recognised by brokers and clients alike.
“I am sure all three will prosper in their roles. What attracted them to Fiducia is our culture, and the career path we can offer. The company has a clear and targeted strategy for growth and we are building a first class team to ensure that strategy can be delivered.”
